The Shaman's Brew

About Marcus

Host of The Shaman's Brew

Researcher, explorer, author, and Toltec apprentice devoted to understanding the hidden architecture of consciousness.

Marcus is a researcher, explorer, author, and Toltec apprentice whose work spans more than fifty years of investigating consciousness, the paranormal, and the hidden forces shaping human perception. His journey bridges ancient shamanic knowledge with modern scientific inquiry, forming a unique perspective that guides The Shaman's Brew.

The Lineage

Toltec Lineage — Apprenticeship Across Two Worlds

Marcus's path was shaped profoundly by an eight-year apprenticeship with Dr. Carlos Castaneda, the anthropologist-shaman who introduced the modern world to the Toltec tradition. Under Castaneda's guidance, Marcus learned the disciplines of perception, awareness, and energetic alignment — the foundations of the modern Toltec lineage.

During this apprenticeship, Marcus was initiated by the Toltec Nagual don Miguel of Oaxaca, a shaman of the old lineage whose teachings trace back to the era before the fall of Teotihuacan. Don Miguel instructed Marcus in the ancient practices of the Toltec sorcerers — the seers who understood how to manipulate the forces of nature through intent, movement, and power objects.

Between these two teachers, Marcus received a transmission of Toltec knowledge spanning twelve centuries, from the old ways to the modern evolution of the tradition.

Field Research

Fifty Years of Paranormal Investigation

For more than five decades, Marcus has conducted extensive research and experimentation in the paranormal field. His work includes field investigations, theoretical studies, consciousness experiments, and explorations into the unseen dimensions that influence human perception. This lifelong pursuit has shaped his understanding of the Multiverse and the subtle forces that operate beyond ordinary awareness.

Consciousness Research

Consciousness Exploration — The Monroe Institute

Marcus's research with the professional division of The Monroe Institute explored how sound, frequency, and intention can shift the assemblage point of awareness. Through direct experimentation, he examined the mechanics of out-of-body states, expanded perception, and altered consciousness — revealing measurable pathways into non-ordinary reality.

Esoteric Studies

Magical Traditions & Esoteric Knowledge

Marcus has studied shamanic practices from cultures around the world, as well as the magical traditions of Druidism, the Qabalah, witchcraft, hypnosis, and Theosophy. These systems offer unique insights into energy, intention, and the hidden mechanics of reality — forming a rich foundation for his understanding of consciousness.

Scientific Inquiry

Scientific Inquiry — The Architecture of Reality

Marcus's scientific studies include astronomy, theoretical physics, anthropology, geology, and archaeology. His work blends empirical research with experiential exploration, unified by a lifelong fascination with the nature of time — its structure, anomalies, and role in human perception.

Personal Philosophy

A Bridge Between Worlds

Marcus stands at the intersection of science and spirit — the rational and the mystical, the measurable and the ineffable. His approach is disciplined, exploratory, and deeply integrative. Through The Shaman's Brew, he shares not conclusions, but pathways — inviting others to walk the edge of the known and discover the vastness that lies beyond.
